Editorial Policy
Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and editorial independence guides every story we publish.
1. Independence
Delima News operates with full editorial independence from its commercial and advertising operations. No advertiser, sponsor, or external party has influence over editorial decisions, story selection, or the framing of news coverage.
2. Accuracy and Fact-Checking
Every article published on Delima News is verified against multiple credible sources before publication. Our editorial team cross-references claims with primary sources, official data, and expert commentary. We do not publish unverified claims as fact.
3. Corrections Policy
When errors are identified we correct them promptly and transparently. Corrections are appended to the original article with a timestamp. We do not silently edit published content. To submit a correction, email info@delima-news.com.
4. Source Standards
We cite sources clearly within articles. Anonymous sources are used only when disclosure would put the source at risk and when the information cannot be obtained otherwise. In such cases, we verify the source credibility independently.
5. Conflicts of Interest
Our journalists and contributors are required to disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could constitute a conflict of interest. Stories where a conflict exists are either reassigned or clearly disclosed to readers.
6. Opinion vs. News
Opinion content is clearly labelled as such and is distinct from news reporting. Opinion pieces represent the views of the individual author, not of Delima News as an organisation.
7. AI-Assisted Journalism
Delima News uses AI tools to assist in research, summarisation, and drafting. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited before publication. We are committed to transparency about our use of emerging technologies in the newsroom.
