With seven rounds of the 2026 Formula 1 season remaining, Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli holds an 84-point lead in the drivers’ championship. The Italian has won half of the 16 races held so far.

The 2026 Formula 1 season arrives in Singapore this weekend with one driver well clear at the top. Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes leads the championship with 320 points, according to Formula 1’s official standings.

His team-mate George Russell is second on 236 points, a gap of 84.

Eight Wins From Sixteen

Antonelli’s lead is built on wins. The Italian has won eight of the 16 Grands Prix held so far: China, Japan, Miami, Canada, Monaco, Belgium, Italy and Spain.

He won five races in a row between March and June, and finished second behind Max Verstappen in Bahrain last weekend.

The Standings

  1. Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) — 320
  2. George Russell (Mercedes) — 236
  3. Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) — 214
  4. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) — 191
  5. Lando Norris (McLaren) — 188
  6. Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) — 188
  7. Oscar Piastri (McLaren) — 128
  8. Isack Hadjar (Red Bull Racing) — 96

Mercedes in Control

Mercedes have won 11 of the 16 races, with Russell adding three victories, in Australia, Austria and Azerbaijan, to Antonelli’s eight.

The team leads the constructors’ championship with 556 points. Ferrari are second on 405, a deficit of 151, followed by McLaren on 316 and Red Bull Racing on 298.

Who Else Has Won

Five races have gone to other teams. Lando Norris won twice for McLaren, in Hungary and the Netherlands. Lewis Hamilton won in Barcelona and Charles Leclerc at the British Grand Prix, both for Ferrari. Verstappen’s win in Bahrain was his first of the year.

At the Back

At the other end of the table, Audi have scored 17 points and sit eighth of the 11 teams. Cadillac, whose drivers are Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, have yet to score.

What Is Left

The Bahrain race was round 16 of a 23-round calendar. Seven remain:

  • Singapore — October 9–11
  • United States — October 23–25
  • Mexico — October 30–November 1
  • Brazil
  • Las Vegas — November 19–21
  • Qatar
  • Abu Dhabi — December 4–6

A race win is worth 25 points, so Antonelli’s lead is currently worth more than three victories.
