The actor Keegan Allen says he was robbed at gunpoint in West Hollywood, according to a report by Vulture published on October 9.
What He Says Happened
Allen described the attack in an Instagram post, which included a video taken immediately afterwards. In it he appears bloodied and out of breath.
“I was just robbed of my watch,” he says in the video. “These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off.”
He can be heard asking someone nearby to call the police.
According to the report, the attack was carried out by two masked men in a shop car park, and was captured on security-camera footage, which Allen included in his post.
“My life for a watch,” he wrote in the caption. He added: “West Hollywood is not safe anymore.”
His Injuries
Police and paramedics were reportedly called to the scene and treated Allen for a cut to the head. He was not taken to hospital.
The Investigation
Police have not identified the attackers or made any arrests, the report said.
Reaction
Fans and fellow performers left messages of support under the video, among them Amanda Cerny and the Supernatural actors Genevieve Padalecki and Colin Ford.
Who Keegan Allen Is
Allen is best known for playing Toby Cavanaugh in the teen mystery series Pretty Little Liars.
He is due to star in Small Talk, a music drama set in the Los Angeles rock scene of the late 1970s, according to a recent announcement reported by Deadline.
